Tapered roller bearings are roller bearings with conical rollers. These bearings are designed to support heavy radial loads and heavy thrust loads in one direction. Tapered roller bearings are generally separable; for example, the cone, consisting of the inner ring with roller assembly, can be mounted separately from the cup (outer ring). Both 'metric' and 'inch' tapers are offered; the only difference being the dimensions of the measure for the bearings. .
